I told so many people about this game and most of them said it sounded lame or cheesy but it was one of the most fun games I’ve ever played

There are good roblox games on roblox but you just have to look a little deeper (phighting, regretevator, blocktales) all of these games no monetarization and are still very good

the opening of Nocturne where you're just fighting ghosts for spare change in a creepy basement really sets the overall tone Nocturne's more tedious dungeon design is kind of a holdover from SMT's first-person dungeon-crawly origins. Especially the teleport mazes(though every SMT game has at least one of those)

I dont understand the point of enemies in the dlc. Like most of them are so hard they are legit not worth fighting once you realise they give measely 4 digit runes. The curseblades for example i thought will give something like 100k-200k per kill due to the fact you have to fight him for like 10 mins...

I’m actually ok with the way they have done these two games. I do feel that the underworld and the sky world were supposed to be in the first game but time constraints with making it line up with the system launch it didn’t make it. The one thing about Zelda games, they typically build off the previous versions and I do feel like TOTK did well. The only thing I wish they did more of was more dungeons, the shrines are nice and cool little puzzles but being a Zelda OG player, I really miss all of the different dungeons. I’m looking forward to what the next version will be.

If you’ve completed Elden ring you’ve already learned much of the game. Fromsoft needed to push it up a notch to still be a challenge. There’s always a point where a boss goes from seeming impossible to becoming easy. It’s a weird one but once u get it it becomes a breeze

Thought this was a great take on the dlc. Elden ring is my first game in the series and I had no expectations going in. I knew it won game of the year I think but other than that I knew not much. I usually don’t like any of this kinda stuff either I’m a fps and sports game kinda person. However, after playing the base game and I’m on the radahn fight now, the dlc has become more fun to me than the base game. The boss fights do suck in terms of difficulty. I have a mage build and I use summons but it’s not like you can cheese magic an entire fight. I’ve seriously had a ton of trouble balancing flasks spells my moonveil and the summon. Messemer took me like 6 fuckin hours to do too. The dlc is really hard but I think it’s possible and the whole point of it is to explore more about the build system and aspects of combat. You did a great job highlighting it in the video. Exploring different physik’s using different weapons different spells/incants, they all change the way bosses are fought in each area and with certain weakness the boss fights can be made easier. I honestly want to say having patience and determination can really go a long way as someone who has never played these types of games before.

i feel bad how i never respected the game intel i was far into it i played it for the first time a while ago and just didn’t like it so i just stopped playing then 3 months later i had an itch to play it again then i quit for another month and i finally came back and loved the game

It isn't too hard, it's just too annoying. All the ways they made bosses hard feel like you're adapting to weird stuff the developers are trying to kill you with, instead of adapting to the enemy. Also delayed attacks don't punish recklessness, they punish proper judgement. You counter them by dying and remembering that that specific animation doesn't line up with what would actually happen. Same with extreme gap closures for heal punishes. It's memorization through brute force and not really learning outside of it's most basic conception. It is fair but only because unlimited attempts means memorization matters and correct judgement doesn't.

Being able to go to a different area with easier or harder enemies is the part that is NOT soulslike. Divinity II: Developer’s Cut already did that in 2009 - 2012, and very effectively so. But it’s not considered a soulslike.

I think it's awesome (and a little depressing) that a guy that is new to the souls series has pretty much nailed exactly why both sides of this "game too hard" argument are both right and wrong. As a souls veteran, I've been playing these games for close to 10 years now, and I just enjoy feeling challenged in a way that feels fair and earned. And fromsoft is by far the best studio that scratches that itch for me. So it saddens me that the souls community, which was once kinda niche and full of similarly like minded masochists, has exploded into different factions that can't agree on the "correct" way to play a game. For example, I don't like playing mages. I like to get up close and learn a bosses moveset inside and out, like a dance. But I'll never stop someone from wanting to play a mage. Who am I to judge? The game let's you be a wizard, so be a wizard. Thanks for coming to my TED talk

So I rambled on how Elden ring is not a masterpiece on several videos even though I have 400 hours in the game and have completed it 100% once, but the main issues I have with the game is that it expects you to experiment but punishes you for every small mistake you have made with ridiculous enemy damage unless you over level and enemies that have no cooldown on their special abilities and ridiculously Relentless enemies for no reason at all. I have a love-hate relationship with this game because I want it to be the best it can ever be and while I love the difficulty at times I do think they have overdone it in some cases. What people love about the previous entries is the fact that they were Fair and difficult at the same time but at the core they were still all RPGs and we're often paced a lot better in terms of difficulty an enemy tactics. I understand that Elden ring is an open world game with almost Limitless options on how you approach most of the bosses, but having enemies deal almost all your HP and one or two hits with late game enemies having so much HP they make even the hardest Dark Souls or bloodborne bosses look pathetic isn't always the best option. And I understand that people can get as broken as possible in this game more so than any other from soft game so they have to make these bosses absolute units to accommodate that but Elden ring does in fact have a balancing issue for the majority of people- there's a reason there's so many Cheese videos and people complaining that some of the bosses are just not fun to fight and so many people making the absolute most broken builds possible just to one shot some bosses in general. And again I understand a lot of the balancing issues come from it being an open world game and I've always said that Elden ring is a fantastic game but not a good Souls game. And I'll continue playing it even if I never 100 % it again because it is a good game, but it frustrates me more than any other Souls and I have Platinum every Souls game thus far. The only good side difficulty is that you realize just how easy the older games could be after completing Elden ring. But I suggest anyone who wants to get into the souls franchise start with Dark Souls 1 or bloodborne because those are genuinely fantastic from soft games that feel hard but definitely feel a lot more fair than Elden. My opinions on Elden ring will always be mixed because I have a love for the franchise and I know my opinions are biased because of my love for those games.
